Want to ride 50cc up to 125cc? 16+ years

Complete the 1 day Compulsory Basic Training course before you ride any scooter, moped or motorcycle on the road.

At 16 you can ride up to 50cc, 17 years and over up to 125cc, however if your full car licence was issued BEFORE 1st February 2001 you are exempt and may ride a 50cc without a CBT or ‘L’ plates.

Want to ride up to 33bhp 17 years + (restricted)

All training and testing is completed on a 125cc
• Pass CBT
• Pass Motorcycle Theory Test
• Pass module 1 off road slow manoeuvres test
• Pass module 2 on road riding test
Gain a licence to ride up to 33 bhp (25kw) after 2 years your licence will automatically be upgraded to a full power licence.

Want to ride any size motorcycle 21 years + (DAS)

All training and testing is completed in a 500cc bike.
• Pass CBT
• Pass Motorcycle Theory Test
• Pass module 1 off road slow manoeuvres test
• Pass module 2 on road riding test
Gain licence to ride any size motorcycle.
